Dr. Evan Kaplan, OD, MS, FAAO, has been teaching contact lenses to optometry students at SUNY College of Optometry and ophthalmology residents at NY Eye and Ear Infirmary for over 25 years. After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, he completed his optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry. Dr. Kaplan continued studying at SUNY to earn a Master's Degree in Vision Science and completed his fellowship in cornea and contact lenses. He has published papers in scientific journals, as well.
Dr. Kaplan is a consultant for both pharmaceutical and contact lens companies and an international lecturer on areas related to the anterior eye and myopia control. Additionally, he is the co-owner of a group optometry office in the Bronx, where in addition to fitting contact lenses, he also offers complete eye examinations.
